Get To Know Me

I was raised in Miami, Florida two blocks away from the beach. Being outside is my happy place whether that is swimming in the ocean or playing volleyball on the beach. My mother tells me I was born with a piece of charcoal in my hand. As a child, before I could even walk, I would go to work with my mother and while she was painting I would sit beside her on the floor with brown paper and a piece of charcoal drawing happy faces. Growing up with a mother that is an artist and a father who is a chef I was surrounded by creativity and was always pushed to pursue what I love. Since I knew I had this gift for art from such a young age I decided to attend art charter schools for middle and high school where I learned the elements and principles of art. My hands were a gift given to me by my mom, but I worked hard to improve my skills and become the artist I am today. After high school, I went on to study at The University of Florida where I received a Bachelor of Arts. There I further improved my skills but was also able to explore a variety of disciplines. Through learning these different disciplines, I was able to incorporate this new knowledge to improve my skills and make me a more well-rounded artist. I would consider myself a renaissance woman with the ability to sculpt, paint, draw, sew, make jewelry, work digitally, cook and so much more. I see life as art and push myself every day to learn new and exciting techniques so that I am always improving while mastering what I already know.
